Dr. Victoria Farrar-Myers, senior fellow and director of the Tower Scholars Program, will speak on “Presidential-Congressional Relations and Separation of Powers” Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. in Sabine Hall, Room SH118.
Farrar-Myers is a leading expert on presidential and congressional politics and an expert on Super Political Action Committees (PACs) and campaign financing in elections. She is a former U.S. Congressional Fellow and a 2014 Fulbright Distinguished Chair in American Politics.
Farrar-Myers’ research focuses on U.S. foreign policy, the importance of the Asian-Pacific region and how it impacts U.S. national security regarding trade, energy and capital markets. She worked in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1997-98 when the bipartisan Campaign Reform Act was introduced.
