New exhibition evokes memories

The Art Exhibition “Intensity” by artist Du Chau is on view in the Brazos Gallery on the second floor of Crockett Hall. The exhibit of ceramic works will be open to the public through Sept. 16. There will be a reception from 12 to 1 p.m., Sept. 7.  

Du, born in Vietnam, came to the U.S. in 1981. A pathology technical coordinator at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, he also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and works as an adjunct professor at Brookhaven College.

Du lives and works in Dallas and has exhibited his art at galleries and museums throughout the U.S., including San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and the Amarillo Museum of Art. 

Du said his current artworks evoke childhood memories and repetitive daily activities involving knowledge and contemplation.
